With a coastal stretch of more
than 80 kilometres and numerous beautiful beaches The Gambia offers many
opportunities for swimming and nautical sports.
From Cape Point to Bijilo passing by Fajara, Kotu and Senegambia, several hotels
and beach bars propose long benches and drinks. Beware of the jellyfish and the
strong currents, the Atlantic Ocean can sometimes be rough; it is advisable not
to swim when the red flag is on full mast. At Sun Beach Hotel, you can
indulge in Catamaran, Jet Ski, Banana Boat, sailboat, water ski, and
windsurfing.
At Denton Bridge you can catch a
boat to take you through the river Gambia where you can see such things as
mangrove swamps.

| The only real golf course is
found at the Fajara Club where big competitions are organised. Though the
Senegambia does have a golf course, it is much smaller and only meant for its
guests. |
